The area on this map is the Gaelic kingdom of Dál Riata. It covers what is now Argyll (coast of the gaels) and the north east corner of Ireland. This stunning coastal area was said to be founded by King Fergus Mór in the 5th Century. This particular map features the fishing village of Tarbert in the centre. In 1098 the King of Norway, Magnus Barefoot, dragged his longship from the village over the Isthmus to West Loch Tarbert to claim Kintyre for the Kingdom of Norway.
Our recycled prints are printed on 100% recycled card and are fully recyclable also. These can be purchased as a print only including a mount wrapped in a plastic free, biodegradable and compostable film wrap. Or with an FSC solid wood frame from sustainable sources.
